More WIP Shots

Here are a couple more WIP shots of my Dark Angels Contemptor Dreadnought.

I picked up a Contemptor Dreadnought and decided to do a little conversion work on it.  Nothing too fancy...  just made a nice base out of cork with a little Scibor basing piece and then glued on a ton of Dark Angels bits.

I decided to use the Typhoon Missile Launcher from a Land Speeder kit as I prefer the way it looks.  I also glued on a set of wings...  I've had them in my bits box forever.  I think they come from some Fantasy model...  maybe a pegasus or something.

My Newest Toy

I just got this sucker in the mail. I should have another coming... A Relic version. I like how the pose turned out. Also using a storm shield for the shoulder and the Scibor basing bit worked out pretty well.

Space Wolf Thunderwolf Army

I decided I needed a little project to work on.  I picked up a Thunderwolf Cavalry box as well as two boxes of Fenrisian Wolves.

My plan is to convert one of the Thunderwolves to be Canis Wolfborn.  I just don't like the one GW sculpted him on.  It doesn't look "wolfy" enough and it definitely doesn't match the other wolves.

That, my friends, is a legal but small army.

I'll take pictures once I have them assembled.

Setup is Almost Done

I've been able to get my two tables setup.  My plan is to use one table as an assembly and modelling station and the other as a paint station.

I'm still trying to decide what to do with my paints.  I need a proper paint rack.

Any suggestions?

This isn't a great pic, but I wanted to throw something up here. My hobby room is still packed in boxes from the move.

I decided to paint a Carnifex just for fun. The carapace is almost done.

Partly Moved In

Our apt is full of boxes! I will be picking up my secondary hobby table tomorrow. I've always had just one table before. In this new setup, my plan is to have one table for modeling/assembly and one for painting. I'm also planning on picking up a couple of IKEA Detolf shelves.

Waiting...

I'm sitting here waiting for the movers right now. The guy from their office called and said they had to "do what they gotta do" and then they would be by. No idea how long this is gonna take.

Moving Tomorrow

Tomorrow I'll be moving states.  Hopefully it won't take me too long to set up a new hobby area.  The new place we're moving to is much larger and I'll have a 12' x 12.5' room to myself.  My intention is to turn it into a hobby/computer room.  I'm going to work on layout today, but I think I can squeeze everything I need plus a 4' x 6' gaming table in if I make the gaming table convertible into a hobby area.  I may end up building a custom table and putting a Realms of Battle board on it.  I've seen some pretty good table setups in the past.
