Hey all. It's that time again. Making promises to ourselves that we totally won't keep. This happens every year. I tend to have about a 50% success rate. That's not too bad, right?
I've been through a lot of goal setting training and managing other people's performance at work. If you set production based goals, you're probably going to fail. Telling myself that I'll paint up 1500 points of Genestealer Cults is a terrible goal. It feels unreachable when starting and can't really be measured along the way. Now, if I were instead to give myself a goal of painting or hobbying for at least two hours a week, I'd be able to tell on a week by week basis if I'm hitting my goal.
So, that's the plan. Two hours of hobby activity per week. I know that doesn't sound like much, but I've been majorly slacking lately. I've been doing zero hours most weeks.
Also, hopefully 2017 won't be nearly as horrible as 2016.
